FEMS Journals Move to Open Access

We are pleased to announce that from the start of January 2024, four of our established journals will become fully Open Access. Our portfolio will then be made up of six high quality fully open access journals. These four titles join their newer fully-OA sister journals microLife and FEMS Microbes. Only one journal in our portfolio, FEMS Microbiology Letters, will continue as a subscription journal, which remains free to publish in.

microLife and FEMS Microbes in PubMedCentral

We’re delighted to announce that our journals microLife and FEMS Microbes have been accepted for indexing in PubMedCentral (PMC)! This means that articles from both journals will appear in full in PMC, with a corresponding record in PubMed/MEDLINE, maximising visibility of all the published articles.
 
Lex Scheffers Memorial Issue on Yeast Physiology

FEMS Yeast Research is dedicating a special issue to the memory and legacy of its founding Editor-in-Chief of and a very significant contributor to the yeast community, W. Alexander (Lex) Scheffers, who sadly passed away in 2021.
