Our upcoming FEMS Congress will take place in Hamburg, Germany from 9-13 July, 2023. We invite you to submit your abstract and apply for our congress attendance grant before the 1st February 2023! Registrations will also open soon! Additionally, we are happy to announce our 4 plenary speakers; Julia Vorholt, Jorge E. Galan, Carmen Buchrieser and Paul Lehner.

Outstanding Early Career Microbiologist Award

This Award aims to recognize Early Career Researchers that have realized an excellent body of (published) research and research potential. The nomination can be based on a single exceptionally significant achievement or the aggregate of a number of exemplary achievements.

Industry & Innovation Award and Education Development Award

The FEMS Education Development Award promotes the importance of innovation in microbiology education.

The FEMS Industry & Innovation Award recognizes distinguished achievements in the development of products, processes or technologies

Industry Placement Grants

These grants allow Early Career Scientists to acquire experience in industry with the financial support of FEMS.

Applicants should be active microbiologists and be members of a FEMS Member Society. All industries qualify, including non-laboratory research, as long as relevant for microbiology.

Application deadline: 1 February 2023

Portable Microbiology Laboratory Part 2 - Sampling and Testing

Come along with us as we take samples from the canal waters in Delft in The Netherlands and put the Portable Microbiology Laboratory (PML) to work!
