Join us in welcoming Dr Clare Taylor as Editor-in-Chief for FEMS Microbiology Letters, effective 1 January 2025

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Clare Taylor, Senior Lecturer in Medical Microbiology at Edinburgh Napier University, as the new Editor-in-Chief of FEMS Microbiology Letters, effective 1 January 2025.

She will take over from Dr Rich Boden, the outgoing Editor-in-Chief, whose ten-year tenure saw FEMS Microbiology Letters flourish, grow and more intentionally focus on professional development of microbiologists.

Nominate an Outstanding Early Career Microbiologist

The FEMS Outstanding Early Career Microbiologist Award recognises exceptional researchers who have made significant contributions to the microbiology community, within five years of their PhD. This prestigious award provides an opportunity to celebrate groundbreaking work and inspire future generations of scientists.

Awardees will receive a free registration and travel grant to attend the FEMS MICRO Milan 2025: Congress & Exhibition, provided they give a Session or Flash Talk at the Congress. Submissions deadline: 16 December 2024, 23:59 CET.

Congress Attendance Grants

FEMS provides grants for European and non-European Early Career Researchers to support their attendance at the 11th Congress of European Microbiologists (FEMS MICRO Milan 2025: Congress & Exhibition). Each grant provides a waiver of the registration fee.

Grant application is open until 24 January 2025, 23:59 CET and is part of the Abstract Application.
